Hey You

Dear Chuy,

A family left broke

How many years since we spoke

But now that I'm older, heart and soul both awoke

When you left I was angry

Abandoned, I blamed me

Just the eyes of boy, nearly impossible to foresee

I'm also at fault

Set our relation on halt

Avoid and neglect became my way assault

Interest you showed

But I choose the wrong road

Missed opportunities of wisdom bestowed

Yet you taught me to much

The value of family and such

when times got hard you were there as my crutch

But now you are gone

Alone, I'm withdrawn

But time heals all, reborn I'm a swan

I won't forget the pain

As I stood in the rain

watching you leave, there's no need to explain

So much you have missed

Years passed, candles wished

promise to visit, together we'll reminisce

As tears fill my eyes

No final goodbyes

Forever in my heart for here my hero lies.

I love you Grandpa, R.I.P
