Hero of war.

Location

We woke up in this place, shattered but alive,

The world is a monstrocity,  we manage to survive.

Torn up children's faces and corrupted civil wars,

Hiding bloody napkins, bodies scattered on the floors.

True love may exist but seldom in our dreams,

Not too long ago we ignored their silent screams.

The world may fall apart today so close your tired eyes,

Put away the guns you used to snuff the child's cries.

A new day has arrived, our sons are now returning,

Their eyes are weary and their palms furiously burning.

We hold them in our arms now, but soon they'll leave once more.

Mothers wait paitently, holding their hearts by the door.

Waiting for their beloved men , some may never arrive,

Sorrowful and inconsolable, their boys were not alive.
