Her(e)

Lay here,

with my heart as your pillow,

my love as your bed,

and my skin as the thing that keeps you warm.

Lay here,

and tell me that I cannot keep you,

because you cannot chain the wilderness.

Lay here,

my darling,

and maybe

being in love with you,

(so desperately,

heavily,

chokingly,

hungrily,

urgently,

vitally,

gravely,

recklessly,

beautifully,)

in love with you

won’t ache so much.
