Hercules The Football Star

The Mortal Humans High School football team was in need of a savior

The season had been tough, their fans were dwindling, and the football players were ready to quit

Coaches packed their bags, cheerleaders put away their pom poms; it was radical behavior

It was as though the apocalypse had hit, but then rose out of the dark a misfit

It was during lunch one day in the court yard when the boy was hit with a football

The shock came when he lifted the ball and lurched it with superhuman strength back the other way

The students stopped eating, stopped talking, stopped texting and stared in sheer awe

This was the savior that they had been hoping could save them from their season’s doomsday

All of Mortal Humans High School encouraged the training of their new scrawny secret weapon

The coaches and players worked with him to gain muscle and perfect his aim

It was not long before the newborn football star himself could give others a lesson

His quick improvement and natural skill gave the team a way to erase their school’s shame

With him as the leader, the football team won every game that they played in

The savior football star became the town golden boy and a household name

What made him so special was that he did not hold the usual arrogance but had a great heart within

His name was Hercules, savior of school spirit, hope, and the game
