Her Own Enemy

Location

Life seems normal, content and all.

From the outside you see a girl whose standing tall.

But the truth is really a much different story,

For everyday’s a battle that’s really quite gory.

Her confidence, a crumpling building,

Her actions are lonely and chilling.

Her thoughts are daggers, sharp and hostile,

But no one knows about this warrior’s battle.

Her fight’s this endless tunnel,

That’s always changing shape.

She tries her best and wants

So desperately to escape,

At the end of this dismal tunnel

Is a rainbow bright in the sky

Now all she has to do,

Is stop fighting and try to find.
