Her Name Was Pain

Location

As tears streamed down her face,

She realized how alone and empty she felt.

She was so isolated and abandoned.

It hurt her so much within her chest.

A half baked smile on her face.

She lost sight of herself.

Afraid of losing the ones she loves the most,

For she’s lost so much.

Coping with her own pride.

Empty, heart caving in slowly.

Distancing herself from everyone,

She’s such a damn burden.

Always told that because she was different,

She cannot fit society.

She wasn't accepted,

Led to feeding her depression.

The feeling of loneliness.

With bitterness in her heart,

No one wants her around.

It hurts to breathe.

She’s been drowning,

While everyone else was breathing.

She doesn't want to be like anyone else,

She’s her own person, unique.

She thrives for acceptance, of belonging.

Her heart tearing by the seams,

Withering away in need of sewing back.

It will never end.

All she needs is sleep for eternity,

Until she falls into deaths slumber.

Gauge out her eyes,

This isn't reality.

It’s all just a never ending nightmare,

Waiting for an ending.
