A Heart No Longer Cold
Location
I laugh, I talk,
There's a lightness when I walk.
I smile and hide
All the pain I feel inside.
I scowl and glare,
Show my fiercest stare.
Grow fists to hide
All the fear I feel inside.
Made of rock, made of stone.
A heart grows cold when left alone.
But this armor of ice
Protects only strife.
The girl behind,
With shadows on her mind,
Carved herself a mask of stone.
But her heart didn't want to be alone.
Then you came.
To calm and tame
The feelings that swirled beneath.
You saw what was lost.
You melted the frost
And found what had been hidden.
You set her free.
You let her see
What was really in the looking glass.
