Hear Me; Don't Just Listen

Acting

All I have ever wanted

A stable future

All my parents have ever wanted

I want experiences, dreams made into reality, a life that is my own, happiness

They want stability, simpleness, me close to home- in their world, to control

I tell them

I tell them what I want

What I need

Listen

Listen

Listen

They don't understand

Its only a phase, You will regret it when you're older, Life will be hard, We won't be able to help you

NO, STOP, LISTEN

I know what this path will entail, I know who I want to be, I know where I want to go

So do not just listen and nod your head and condescend

HEAR ME!
