Hear Me

Sun, 06/02/2024 - 16:57 -- Wura

"Hush

hush"

The silence kills me

Pin drop. Cold and haunting,

It claws at my throat,

screeches gainst my hollow ribs,

tears my bloodied heart apart.

My mouth opens.

Voice croaks, but silence...

I cannot speak, cannot move

Alone in a glided diamond cage

a beautiful display of ownership.

I look at them for help,

But wonder? Why do they all avert their gaze?

Then, I remember

I'm worthless. Useless.

A stain.

Sobs rack my throat, but I cannot speak

my life now bloodshod,

coppery and crimson with traces of darkness

And so, I sing....
