Little girl staring down at where her pen meets.

So many thoughts in her head, but nothing on the sheets.

In her mind, she creates a world no one else can find,

But when she goes to write... nothing seems to rhyme.

Teenaged girl who doesn't seem to fit in.

The world is harsh, and she's afraid to let love in.

Soon she sees that what others think, are wastes of time.

And for the first time, in a long time, she starts to rhyme.

She escapes to another place that's filled with life.

Her words jump off the page and she finally feels alright.

With every movement of her pen, the lines begin to dance

And she finally sees that she has a chance

To show the world exactly what she can do.

Because of poetry...

She found her happy.

This poem is about:
Our world
