Happiness
Location
I cannot help but wonder why,
Wonder why things went awry.
Events unfold, my story is told.
But a story of what? Not gold!
Nay, my wants are plain,
My needs mundane.
Happiness is all i need,
A beautiful wife to feed,
Yet i still sit in the fire
of this depression, oh how dire
and fickle life has become,
One day a king, the next; scum.
Mere consistency and joy
this is all i have wanted since i was a boy.
Now a man, grown yet still learning,
waiting to fulfill my yearning,
Waiting for an opportunity to seize,
For this burning i can appease.
This fire i can quench,
From this hell i can wrench
myself away from the self-pity,
Working towards my Emerald City.
