Hand in Hand

On the front porch steps,

We shared a smile.

In the moment we shared,

We hugged a while.

You pulled me in close,

We smiled again,

I like you a lot...

You're more than a friend.

A little while longer,

We smile; we laugh.

We wait together,

Not wanting the moment to pass.

We're leaned in close,

Together we stand,

The world around us falls,

As we stand hand in hand.
