Guardians

They are the only people who will love you unconditionally.
Even when you don't particularly like yourself.
They are the only people you can truly trust.
People that you can put your faith into.
Their hands are the only ones I trust with my heart.
Their eyes are the only ones I trust with my soul.
They are the most important couple on earth, more powerful than the strongest couple imaginable.
They protect me from not only the world, but also myself.
Clear the road for me so that I know which way to go.
Granted, sometimes I stray, but they are always there with me, helping me despite my makeshift path and telling me always where I should be.
My parents.
My lifeline.
My guardian angels.
A gift given to me by God.
A gift I thoroughly abuse every day.
A gift that I am constantly taking for granted.
