Growing Pains
I once was young
So clean and pure
Innocent thoughts flew through my head
Like the airplanes far above
But one thing scared me and kept me down
I saw how my friends changed
Some left while others stayed
Most forgot the times we played
I never thought I could lose so many
But then I found that there were more all around
I started to talk
to joke and laugh
and before I knew it
I had friends abound
I still think back to all my friends
And hope that they can come around.
