Gratitude

I’m thankful for love, and thankful for heartbreaks.

I’m thankful that God keeps all the promises that He makes.

I’m thankful for my shelter, and for my daily nourishments.

I’m thankful for the goals I set, and for all my accomplishments.

I’m thankful for my setbacks, and thankful for the pain.

I’m thankful for my faith in God, and for being born again.

I’m thankful for peace, kindness, and for generosity.

I’m thankful for knowing my passions so early in life, and for my creativity.

I’m thankful for sunlight, and for the air I breathe.

I’m thankful for the butterflies that dance on the breeze.

I’m thankful for my soul, body, and mind.

I’m thankful that God made me one-of-a-kind.

I’m thankful for my skin, and I’m thankful for its pigment.

I’m thankful that I know my aspirations in life are not just figments.

I’m thankful for music, and for the steady rhythm of my heartbeat.

I’m thankful for the stability of the ground beneath my feet.

I’m thankful for change, and I’m thankful for forgiveness.

I’m thankful for community, and for the feeling of togetherness.

I’m thankful for the past, and I’m thankful for today.

I’m thankful for the future, and the many blessings coming my way.

I’m thankful for karma, and I’m thankful for prayer.

I’m thankful for all the people in my life who support me and care.

I’m thankful for inspiration, new perspectives, and for conversation.

I’m thankful that Jesus dies for my sins so I can have salvation.

I’m thankful for trust, and I’m thankful for honesty.

I’m thankful for common courtesy, and for those who practice modesty.

I’m thankful for rainy days, and also for rainbows.

I’m thankful for life lessons, and for my many highs and lows.

I’m thankful for miracles, and for new beginnings.

I’m thankful for peaceful sleep, and for waking up every morning.

I’m thankful for family, and I’m thankful for true friends.

I’m thankful for laughter, fun, and long weekends.

I’m thankful for my comfort, and for when I feel secure.

I’m thankful for my wisdom, and ability to comfort and reassure.

I’m thankful that I know that no matter what, I’ll survive.

But most importantly, I’m thankful for being alive.

I’m thankful for the seasons, I’m thankful for these reasons –

to be thankful because not being thankful seems like a treason.

So, if you find yourself not being thankful enough, or all the time,

try making a list like this one. (No, it doesn’t have to rhyme.)
