Grandmother's Love

Fri, 07/31/2015 - 02:25 -- apm316

Grandmother lies there withering

Writhing in pain

The venomous blood

Slithering through her veins

Doctors and nurses float in and out

She never wavers

Until she thinks I am gone

Then I glimpse her disfavor

Amidst the Leukemia

I know she is scared

She may never show me

But that is how I know she cares

Surrounded by darkness

Bad news 'round every corner

My grandmother keeps on going

For me she keeps on armor

My grandmother is my inspiration

My grandmother is strong

My grandmother keeps it all together

When everything is wrong

This poem is about:
My family
