Goodbye Daddy

I don't know what to do.

Now that all your pain and suffering is almost through.

Everyday I will think of you.

You'll be the one I always miss.

You're forever at the top of my hero list.

Before you go, blow me one last kiss.

 Everyday for you I'll cry.

I doubt I'll ever understand the reasons why.

A part of my heart, with you, shall die.

I know you really fought to stay.

I prayed and prayed, but Jesus took you anyway.

I hate that you have to go away.

You have to go, and leave me behind.

I can't promise that I'll be fine.

Sick of saying "I'm Okay," it's such a false line.

Wish I could follow you, but no.

On through this weary life I'll go.

I'll try to make it, even when I feel so low.

So, I guess this is our goodbye.

Off you go, on angel wings fly.

And never again in a hospital bed will you lie.
