Good-bye

How quickly the time does fly,

But how long it seems in our hearts.

We live out our lives like we always have,

Except now there's a kind of emptiness we need to fill.

It never gets any easier,

Living without you

But its sure does get easier,

Accepting that it's true.

A poet once wrote

"Nothing Gold can stay"

And it's true,

The gold fades away and leaves the bronze alone.
