The Girl who Altered History

She was the daughter of a king, 

whose name he had forgotten. 

Heavy is the crown and yet, 

she wore it like a feather. 

 

There is strength within her heart, 

Determination in her eyes.

She has the will to survive within her soul, 

Leaving none to challenge her. 

 

She was the queen who turned pain into power. 

Leading her kingdom to a new era, 

She rose like a phoenix, 

Not knowing where she came from. 

 

Fragments of memories surround her past, 

Which left her broken, inside and out. 

Caring arms never protected her, 

Leaving her to defend herself. 

 

She wasn’t a damsel in distress.

She was the girl who changed history...
