Game of Life

Shocking Failure, Blinding success

The only difference, A thin white line

We always make, A great big mess

Looking all over, In search of a sign

Like a giant game, Of stressful chess

Choice moves a piece, The quest to align

We look too closely, And fail nonetheless

But yet we continue, We choose to enshrine

Even if that means, We must sometimes transgress

And thus fell a nation, who dared to walk a thin white line
