A Friend's Secret
Location
I feel a sort of numbness
An everlasting sickness
I am trapped in my own mind,
I’m so worried all the time.
Will it kill me to let you know?
Would it kill me to make it show?
I wonder what you would think
If I told you I’m on the brink.
I’m about to reveal the reason,
About to admit my treason.
They’ll call me a traitor,
And say it’s not normal behavior.
And a tear will escape my eye,
And I’ll turn to them and cry,
I can no longer tell a lie
Hold it in any longer and I’ll die
Maybe you’ll accept it one day,
But the fact is that I’m gay.
