To A Friend
Dear Nanami,
I left you in Hawaii, young, happy and carefree. Seven years ago, I left that place. A year later, you sent me a letter, telling me about your first year of middle school. On my twelfth birthday, I called you up to tell you to abut my new pet. A guinea pig I owned for four days. Did I ask how you were? If I did, I scarcely remember. Soon, we both will be graduating in different parts of the world. I wonder what you will be but you will undoubtedly be great. Seven years later, I want to say what I did not know then. Thank you for being my friend when the world was against me. Thank you for showing me my true worth. I hope you have a great life full of love and laughter. Farewell, to you, my dear. I will always remember you.
