Free Fall

No matter what size, shape, any variation of human,

We all hit rock bottom.

Some are deeper, some fall harder.

The choice is yours;

Be the one to immediately grasps at the loose dirt around them,

desperately trying to cling to a secure edge.

or be the one who sits in silence,

taking the time to ponder the steps you took,

the footing that led you to this point.

One may cry endlessly, hoping to float to the surface.

No matter which one you are,

You have not failed, you have not lost.

You have learned; which friends are true,

what you need to succeed.

That fall helped you grow and as you grow,

That hole gets smaller.
