I want a home where I can be me

A place where I can just be, free

Somewhere my heart can really live

Somewhere my heart can truly give

Home is where the heart is

But that's just where we started

A place that makes us feel safe

A place that doesn't need an escape

If a home is supposed to be peaceful

Then what do we do about the hurtful?

Not every home is a happy one

Not every home is a loving one

I want a home where there is no pain

No one fights or feels ashamed

A loving home is all anyone needs

Some place to finally be free.
