Forgotten Gods

The gods are long forgotten,

Mankind pushing them away in selfish pursuits,

The gods remain though, never abandoning foolish man.

The attentive eye may catch them,

Hiding in plain sight.

Aphrodite, goddess of love, beauty, and passion, shines,

She helps woman love herself and her sister,

She pushes man to pursue his passions,

She lives in our spotlight as a guide and teacher,

Aphrodite serves as a social media star and inspirational speaker in our dreary world.

Athena, goddess of widsom, justice, and law, speaks,

She serves the unspoken and softspoken,

She fights against injustice and destroys the corrupt,

Athena is a warrior and lawyer correcting our wrongs.

The gods live on in our world,

All continuing their work,

Each guides and protects mankind.

The gods have long been forgotten,

Mankind having pushed them away in selfish pursuits,

The gods remain though,

The attentive eye may catch them,

Hidden in plain sight.
