Forever Lost, but Never Forgotten

The sun is shining and the sky is blue

My phone rings beside me, I'm delighted it's you

Being far away from home I feel so lost

But knowing you'll always be there, makes up for the cost

I call you my savior, my truth, my all

You were the one that said "get back up when you fall"

You were there for my first step, and when my heart broke in two

You hugged me and told me not to worry, because God didn't make him for you

You kept the monsters away and Santa Claus alive

Even after I turned twelve, you still wanted to try

You gave me twenty dollars when you could only afford one

You did everything in your power to make sure my life was fun

I 'never' have 'forgotten', the day I recieved the call

Because that was the day my bestfriend, said goodbye to us all

I know you're still with me becuase that's what I was told

But 'forever' to this world, you'll be a 'lost' soul

The sun is still shining and the sky is still blue

My phone rings beside me, sadly it will never be you

Paul Bell

Sad when you lose someone close, the void it leaves is just pure emptiness.

I suppose in a way you can bring them back in thought, and this helps, but time is what it is and it still hurts.

Always great when someone can  inspire the simple things in life, hope the sun returns.
