The Forest on the Bay

Hear the waves break.

See the eagle soar.

The moon shines overhead.

Watch the leaves dance.

Hear the wolf howl.

A forest that lies in a bay.

See the rabbit dash.

Hear the birds flee.

A great pine tree falls.

Hear the motors rumble.

Feel the ground shake.

Each tree falls after another.

Watch the woods empty.

Hear the animals cry.

The trees have fallen like dominoes.

Hear the motors fade.

Watch the squirrel hide.

The woods have grown silent.

The leaves have stilled.

The wolf has left.

The forest was killed in the bay.

The eagle is gone.

The waves have calmed.

The sun rises on the horizon.

See the graveyard.

Hear the nothingness.

Another home has been destroyed.
