Football is a game that I’ve tried

The only game where I almost died

The incident happened last season in fall

That’s when I decided to quit football

I’m pretty fast and can jump pretty high

That’s why I thought I might give it a try

I knew I was a little small for my age

I just hadn’t hit my growing stage

The guys on the field were seriously gigantic

 That’s when I started to get a bit frantic

I was thrown a pass which I jumped and caught

That wasn’t so bad...that’s what I thought

Before I landed I was hit by a truck

Of course it happens to me - just my luck

My head was ringing and I thought I saw stars

I was hit so hard I could be on Mars

After this happened I knew it was near

I’ve reached the end of my football career
