Flaming Dandelions

Location

This is Me.

I am Bare.

I am weighed by guilt and shame,

which is not my own.

I fear I am ugly,

but should know I am not.

My body is past my age,

and my soul, older than that.

Sometimes I think my heart will rot.

But I continue to love anyway.

This is Me,

At a glance.

But if you cut me open,

I am full of wild flowers

and flaming dandelions.

Watch     Me     Burn.

An old soul can often ignite the guilt and sadness we feel inside

Sometimes the burning is overwhelming

But knowing you are not alone is a rare comfort indeed
