The First Day

You walk down the same hall every day

But this was the first day that something changed

A look down the hall and you see a ray

And the feeling you had was so deranged

You usually only see the dark

And the way you feel is always so blue

But when your eyes met his there was a sudden spark

The spark down the hall was long-overdue

You have never seen this bright light before

The way your heart fluttered was never felt

And want it to continue furthermore

You felt like you were going to melt

This sudden change was the best I have had

But would it continue to make me glad?
