Finally Over

The love of the past has been dead and gone.
The wounds on her heart have finally sealed.
She is no longer trapped and carries on.
Her true colors can start to be revealed.
But then he appears like a stormy day,
Attacking her heart with all of his might.
Her old feelings that have once lost their way,
Are strangled and again put up a fight.
She tries and tries not to be pulled once more,
As she searches for love from another.
At last she has found someone she adores,
Who has given kindness like no other.
The wounds are deep but have not been renewed,
All thanks to the man her heart now pursued.
