Final Resolution

I desire nothing more than freedom,

From my own personal Hell

But worries wake me,

From melodious dreams

Where daggers and swords,

Pierce my afflicted heart

They brisk me away from the peaks of buildings,

Where I learn to soar

They wipe the red stains from my flesh,

And nurture me into slumber

But fears embrace me in the night,

Feeding the pain

They remind me there is no escape,

No alternative option

But to push away my worries,

And release all doubts

Accept the inevitable,

And jump with sweet grace

Land as if you'll never stop flying,

Become an exquisite bird

A cardinal on the asphalt

A painting for the world
