Fear the Fear

Location

Brush strokes on canvas can not combine,
Voices indignant can change no mind,
Stuttering steps will never align.
Not while cradled by fear.

Little girl who dreams of more,
More for her than was set before,
Chasm the earth with your radiant core,
But not while cradled by fear.

Crumble all Doubt in the palm of your hands.
Smother the Buts, the No, I Can'ts.
Watch them sift through your fingers like sand,
And you won't be cradled by fear.

Come alive, like you dreamed you would.
Pour yourself out; you never thought you could.
Thirst for a future that you can say you stood
On your own and cradled the fear.
