Fear

Location

Fear inside and all around

Invades every smell, every taste, every sound

The fear that  consumes entire souls

Quenches the flames of our spirit, all it leaves is coals

This fear to grow, be something more

The fear that makes, every act an impossible chore

This is my everlasting want and need

To break fear's shackles and be freed

The question asked lacks true life's scope

The question asked feeds on dreams and hope

What good is feeding a schackled bear?

The question you ask is a trick, it is not fair

Fear condems the change we dream

Fear keeps us from our wanted esteem

To dream of change is not my goal

But to find the courage in my soul

To face fear, as an equal

Not be sucked in by it's paralyzing pull

This is the change, I think we all need

To face fear, break it's shackles, and finally be freed.
