words wishing

I want to overdose

on premature nostalgia

to drown myself

in a sea

of everything I ever craved

too gluttonous to breach

the glassy surface

It was so easy

to jump off the edge

when I thought it was what I wanted

Curiosity didn't kill the cat

desire planted the thought in her head
