Farewell Flowers
Will I see you
Hold me once more
Delicate
Like petals on the doorstep
Don't step inside
My rosebud nose
Was only made to smell the sweet scents of life
Not your rancid breath
Or decaying tongue
Talking will come later
Not now
Let me pretend you love me
Imagine that you'll hold me
Once more
Soft
Like flowers on my instep
Growing up my thigh
Maybe if i hold my breath
Our dead oxygen will stop mingling
And I can pretend you are as lovely as the flowers
Crushed beneath our feet
