Fairytale

Sun, 01/19/2014 - 11:22 -- AnaS-E

A trumpet heralds a quest; lovely

Sleeping Dream, patient for us all

Waits in dusty ivory

 To hear sirens call

On paper, proclaiming marvels

Announcing new worlds to traverse

Made of various levels

From fantastic to perverse

Shelter sought in spines

Fortified, binding the battery

Defending organized lines

Of Whims, fancy, and flattery

Adventure heralded by a bell

There's heard pounding drums

Liberty heard at the knell

With end time of theories and sums

The courier of the land, knight

In shining armor, first to

Climb winding stairs with light

Feet to reach Dream who

Sleeps in the heart of the library.
