The Facade

Three friends walk side by side
No one knowing what the others hide

The first wants a pet Giraffe
But he feared the others would laugh
It was his biggest dream
And he swore they would only be mean

The second loves a girl
So much he wants to hurl
But she has someone else
And he’s afraid to tell her himself

The third loves the first
But he think’s it’s a curse
It makes him cold
As he rejects his very soul

So they walk on
Laughing like nothing’s wrong
