Excuse Me Do You Have the Time?

For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are your works, And my soul knows it very well” - Psalm 139:13-14

Take a look a good look

at what’s in front of you,

and tell me what you see.

You simply tell me that

these are just a bunch

of Random Scraps.

Nothing more,

Nothing less

Just a ton of tiny mechanical pieces,

rusted gears, torn up copper wire,

rusted metal springs

etc., etc.

Just a bunch of

random

useless

worn out

Scraps.

You’re right.

They are “scraps”, they are “old parts”

They are “junk”

They are also-

our “flaws”

our “imperfections”

our “mistakes”.

They are all the unfair hurt and pain and leftover scraps of life

and crushed hopes and dreams

we’ve barely managed to recover from the fire

But what if I told you,

that there’s even more to these

“useless scraps” (of life)?

What if I told you

that these “Random useless scraps”

aren’t so useless after all?

Would you believe me?

No?

Well then-

let me show you!

Let me ask you this-

What do we get, when we take

our flaws such as,

a speech impediment,

with the constant hurtful lies that we’ve been told

CLICK CLICK

Lies saying you’re not good enough

CLICK CHINK

with the pain we’ve endured from having to struggle

just to get by

CLICK CHINK CLICK

along with our dreams that life crushed

and forced us to watch?

CHINK CHINK CLICK CHINK CLICK CLICK CHINK

TIC-TOC. TIC-TOC. TIC-TOC

A ticking bronze mechanical MASTERPIECE.

The masterpiece that is YOU.

The masterpiece that is in ALL of us.

The best things in life, including life itself,

are best made from scraps.

So let’s rewind.

Take a good look at what’s in front of you.

Take a good MINUTE to examine it…

And tell me what you see

And if you have the time.
