Evolution: The Chameleon
I growl at the inferior reptile
With his beautiful bright scales, he taunts me.
In a flash, he's gone. I wait there a while.
I'm sick of my cave! I need to be freed!
I have opposable thumbs, hands and feet!
I can jump, leap, skip, and hop on tempo!
Haply, he slithers on the ground. A treat!
He struts, he knows, he loves and he will grow.
Am I superior? No, I am not.
I am human. Involved but not evolved.
That reptile learns. Potential wastes and rots.
My potential wastes.Nothing has been solved.
I need to learn and live as that reptile.
Know.Learn. If not, life is an adjourned trial.
