Everloved

Ever since I was born into this world
You’ve been there
holding the hand of your little girl
A woman so wise
that lights up my day
I thank God for sending me your way

You have walked through this life
as a strong Queen
You put a smile on your face
even though you were hurting

And I can say
It’d be but a dream
to have even half of your qualities

And if they knew what I knew
they would also choose
to be just like you
And on this day that is your birthday
I have to say
You are Everloved by me

When I’m hurt
you would travel in the middle of night
And sing me off to dreamland
with some corny lullaby

And I can say
It’d be but a dream
to have even half of your qualities

And if they knew what I knew
they would also choose
to be just like you
And if they were your child too
they would be…
Overjoyed
Everloved, just like me

And though I do not have much to give
Happy Birthday, ma mère
Glad that in this world, you are here
And on this day that is your birthday
I have to say
You are Everloved by me…
I love you
