the essence of a woman embraces

a woman's true beauty

so beautiful,

a blind man can see her eyes

light up a room

that brings life to lost souls

With melodious tones pouring from her esophagus she is fearless

Her words breathed life that cures ignorance

Stretching out her arms to bless all in reach

She was tired of surppressing her voice

so she held her tongue for no one

Refusing to answer to cat calls from simple misogynistic men

She states emphatically her worthiness of  wining and dining

The roses and tulips

And refused to be sabotaged by the standards of any broken women

Not intimidated by the shame society tries to give her crown jewel

Her knowledge extended back to the time her ancestors were dancing along the

pyramid walls

To the certitude that every blood line of today leads back to women

That woman you would stand, stand to see fall from believing in everything

She refused to give up the one thing she had complete possesion over, her being in which she carves her own signature

Sapphires swaying from her soul

light up like fireflies

She roses in the dusk of the dawn

Without a doubt that greatness would not only follow, but unite with her soul

wherever she may lead

to that place that gives her validation and satisfaction

Her sovereign belief in herself was all she needed

And all it took to prevent one from twisting their minds and perceiving her as a

fragile woman

She is a queen

This woman was golden like gold in a treasure box

fiercely breaking down the stigma humanity sat her in

This woman was passionate

Everyday her soul stirred in hopes to evolve

This woman is phenomenal

That even you did not need sight to see

and for this, i honor you

for all women who have self-doubt
