The End
It’s your last year of school,
And your best friend is long gone.
She’s moved on, forgot you,
But what did you do wrong?
She knows everything about you,
You were best friends for 13 years,
But she left you, and you don’t know why,
And now you’re drowning in your tears.
Weren’t you always there for her,
When she was lonely and scared?
Does she not remember all those late night talks,
When all of your deepest secrets were shared?
So you ask yourself, “What did I do? Why don’t I fit in?
And when did she become your new best friend?
I’d do anything in the world for you, and you, and you don’t even know.
Do you realize how caught up you are in this whole ‘popular’ trend?”
Now you can’t even stand her,
And you’re the only one who’s hurt.
You genuinely care about her,
But she treats you like you’re dirt.
Her perfect little life keeps getting shoved in your face.
She’s Homecoming Queen, top of the class, and president of the whole school,
And you still don’t understand,
Why the hell she’s ignoring you.
So you cry yourself to sleep again tonight,
When you see she’s out partying with all her so called ‘friends’,
You realize that you’re nothing, and never meant anything,
And accept that your friendship has already reached the end.
