Embracing me
Help me!
I trapped inside someone whom I’ll never be.
The phrases thrown at me feel like a dagger in the back.
Being hurt by those closest to me.
I know they don’t mean it.
After all, how could they know who I truly am without me letting them know?
But I’m just not ready to let it show.
Pretty in pink isn’t my aesthetic.
Being a pretty princess, is not what I want for me.
Feminine are out of my expertise.
I’m the kind of person who wants to be the prince.
I want to be the dashing hero who saves the day.
Masculine is how I am.
Truth is, I’ve known for as long as I can remember.
I knew this day would come.
I just hope that one day, you will call me son.
