embrace yourself (self-esteem, volume 3)
Location
when we have self-esteem
we accept responsibility for
and having feeling in control of our own selves
and every part of our lives
comfortable acceptance of reality
we don't blame ourselves for our problems
setting attainable goals
and have realistic expectations
holding ourselves accountable
for all that occurs in our lives
believing that ultimately
what happens to us does occur
primarily based on choices and decisions,
rather than outside influences
it is truly amazing
how we have the power to make changes for the better
instead
we alter our decisions
and have the nerve to blame the whole world
for one's failures
while we should consider other's opinions
about how to carry ourselves
we've chosen
to be our own final authority
to give the greatest weight
to our own ideas
of what is right and best for us
control we need to exercise
is not control over others
but ourselves
one's reactions and responses
we need to change the circumstances
to suite us when it is appropriate
and change our attitiude about them when it is not
that's how you don't age quickly
and live life in all prosperity
