There’s a reason why we all are trying

To write for Power Poetry,

Today’s education costs are flying

As if it were some poultry.

If given the power to change one thing

No matter how big or small,

I can honestly say that I’d lower something:

The costs of learning for all.

I am gay to find Power Poetry,

As they provide scholarships;

They are wide arms of opportunity,

Helping youth with our loose grips.

Education is slowly declining

While our adults and youth keep reclining.
