The Definition of Me

Sun, 12/24/2017 - 15:31 -- Axelz

Adjusting the disgusting bra on my chest,

I flip ratty, old dress over my head.

Glancing in the mirror, I feel so wrong.

For some, dresses are as graceful as a bird in flight,

For me, I would rather wear a trashcan.

Why can I not wear a suit?

A dress shirt?

Even a blouse would be nicer than this monstrosity!

If only you could see,

What you call me does not define me.

What you force me to wear does not define me.

Those little meaningless boxes on my medical forms do not define me.

I am the only one who can define who I really am.
