The constant feeling of pain and soreness

Many calluses and muscles I shall harness

With bloody and stinky feet all the time!

Backed up Homework and Parents always hearing you whine

 

Having tired and fatigued muscles non stop

With countless hours of rehearsals on top

Cooped up in a hot smelly studio during the summer

Having my feet get even more number

 

Spraining and breaking ankles here and there

Dealing with tendinitous everywhere

Bruised toe nails past the point of feeling

And yet there is no time for healing

 

Then comes the ultimate moment of floating on a cloud in the sky after you

successfully do a turn and feel so high

Being able to laugh with your friends afterward

Especially when one calls you a turd

 

Looking forward to improving during the classes

Having wonderful teachers who help the masses

Getting better arches in your feet
 

 

And watching professionals that you will soon meet

Having awesome leg muscle for turning

While spending time with friends learning

The difficult choreography all day Good thing we aren't in it for the pay

 

Making jokes and funky moves while prancing

Allowing to let all your emotions out in your dancing

Performing for an audience that appreciates the beauty

You bring to the stage which you feel is your duty
 

 

The joy of doing something most people can't do but love to watch 

All in all its a love hate relationship :)
