Decision Time

They knew they should be happy
But it had lost its spark.
The light of the relationship
Had faded into dark.
They didn’t want to tell him,
It would break his heart.
So they just went on suffering
Trying to do their part.

Now they are trying to figure out
If they should carry on.
They made this mistake last time
Will the cycle go on and on?
“No” they decided to themself
But that’s easier said than done.
There is someone else to worry about,
Who might cause himself harm.

Who can tell them what to do?
Does anybody know?
Will this repeat, go on and on
And never ever go?
They haven’t quite decided
What they are going to do.
But they will decide, I know it,
Because there’s nothing else to do.
