Dear Time's Waste

Location

I'm lost in all our sweet sorrow

You're so afraid that we'll end to be nothing

But darling everything we have we borrow

And your fear is like a reflective madness

We pretend our hearts are soaring

You're so afraid that we'll end to be nothing

But darling everything we have is boring

And your fear is like a typical sadness

Darling I'm sorry I don't understand

I'm sorry that "I love you"

Is better to you than any kiss

Why are words more satisfying than the kiss?

Our love should be infinite

But you're so close to me you're distant

Darling everything we have is finite

And your hands are dripping red

These memories should be indestructible

But you're so close to me you're distant

Darling everything we have is corruptible

And your hands are keeping my bed

Darling I'm sorry I don't understand

I'm sorry that "I love you"

Is better to you than any kiss

Why are words more appealing than the kiss?

Who am I to sit and sing your word?

You should already know

My darling I can’t be your bird

I can’t sing to you anymore

Who are you to sit and demand my blessing?

You should already know

My darling you aren’t confessing

I can’t dance for you anymore

Darling I’m sorry I don’t understand

I’m sorry “I love you”

Is better to you than any kiss

Why are words more tempting than the kiss?

The Darcy Perspective

So the guide that inspired me was the English sonnet one. This is not like a sonnet, but I adore sonnets so I kind of twisted it to make it my own. The title I took from Shakespeare's sonnet 30.
